Ah, I never looked at make check... A normal make triggers just 1 warning on 64bit an no warning on 32bit systems in the flower/ dir...
Once I get a working lily build on myh updated ubuntu boxes (32 bit systems always crash randomly during mke or makeeiric), I might take a look. But I fully agree with David that the whole boost stuff should be thrown out soner rather than later.
