http://www.dell.com/us/enterprise/p/optiplex-990/pd.aspx Stuff it full of RAM and add an SSD and choose the i7 chip ;) Oh and I do it all in Virtual Box - because it's easier to manage all the checking with reverted snapshot images of an already made test-baseline (i.e. I only make test-baseline once, snap it and then revert after each test). I lose a CPU (because the OS that houses VB needs to use one) but it is super fast.
