I do see a relation. You include that character, you can not produce a PDF. I can produce the PDF but evince issues errors mentioning the character. So the charater is problematic for both you and me. The difference could be having or not a specific font installed, but thet should not prevent the PDF being generated. -- Francisco Vila.
