I can see no problem with adding ChordNames to the contexts accepted by
GrandStaff (although it is likely to be seldom used). Then PianoStaff
(which is likely to use chords relatively often) inherits ChordNames from
GrandStaff.
This change is made in commit a104097f9687568053a85dcc5eb65abd27449ef2
Regtest is input/regression/chord-names-in-grand-staff.ly, and is in commit
4c5a7b177c95eea78231aad923c6bd6b75f6ecb1
