OK, so I went ahead and did it.
I copied Documentation/snippets/*.ly and Documentation/snippets/new/*.ly
from 0c1494d93d3ac391fe549a02e8198fe628edac17.
I copied my new snippets for beamSettings into Documentation/snippets/new/.
Then I ran scripts/auxiliar/makelsr.py
After git commit -a, I did git-cl upload HEAD^
The results are in patch set 2 at
http://codereview.appspot.com/1667041/show
If there are two blank lines, one of them gets stripped out.
There are also some other times that a line is lost.
And remember, the difference is just due to makelsr.py.
