Funk-style shape note heads could profitably be added to LilyPond.
will.fitzgerald provided a link to some Funk-style shape notes:
A *reset* version of Funk's rudiments can be found (in PDF format) at
<http://harmoniasacra.org/rudiments.pdf>, with all the tunes (in 7 shape,
but also in
4) at <http://harmoniasacra.org/page_index.html>
I believe these were done using Finale.
However, the notes in this reference have variable width, unlike standard
shape notes.
Until we can get a consensus about whether the width of the shapes should
change with note
duration, we won't move forward on this.
