Comment #3 on issue 934 by percival.music.ca: GUB doesn't include Japanese
fonts

It applies to the generation of the output. utf-8.ly, built by
lilypond-doc and/or
lilypond-test in GUB, does not contain Japanese fonts. The
Japanese "stanza" is
completely missing -- just blank space instead.
Note that the same computer (ubuntu 9.04) generates utf-8.ly just fine
using lilypond
from scratch. It's that the system's international fonts (or rather,
_some_ of those
fonts) aren't being used in GUB. That's not necessarily a bad thing, since
GUB is
supposed to set up the whole environment. So rather, I'd say that GUB isn't
installing all the fonts it needs.
