Should we care about -dpreview combined with other backends though? I realize it's nonsensical to set it in combination with the null and scm backends, but they also cause LilyPond to crash, so it might be better either to add dummy output-preview-framework functions (possibly with a warning message) or filter unsupported backends in Paper_book::output ().
