Aah, nice to see you too, Graham ;-) > Always assume that the bug won't be fixed for over a year and so > you won't be able to remember anything. Well, this bug was added on the 8th of February, so that's quite a while already. And though I can't say I remember *all* 600+ bugs in the tracker, I have browsed and reviewd them extensively enough to keep familiar with them. > In fact, assume that the > bug won't be fixed while you're still in charge of bugs You are right. That being said, I don't intend to leave soon, and if I do, I'll run a full review of the tracker before I leave. > write > the report such that it's obvious > 1) what the problem is > 2) if the current output matches the problem output. Granted, this report could have been more specific (the reason why I didn't add any description back then was that it affected a well-documented documentation example plus a regtest). I usually only include an image when needed (for instance when the output could seem ok, or when it only affects one detail), and if I didn't then it means that the problem was obvious when looking at the output -- which it is no longer, so that means the bug has been fixed.
