When a slur crosses a line break, the slur after the break begins before the key signature. Phrasing slurs, on the other hand, begin after the key signature. (This is not clear in any of the regression tests because the slur examples are all in C major.) I know that this sort of question has come up in the past, but how much work would it be to change ordinary slurs to begin after the key signature? I believe that this would solve two bugs simultaneously:
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=379 http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=427 and it would greatly assist me in notating vocal music, where the two kinds of slurs are not directly interchangeable (phrasing slurs do not cause melismas). I tried reading the slur code myself but I was totally lost. (I hoped to find a simple difference between the two kins of phrases so I could offer an initial suggestion, but I'm not nearly that good yet.) I'm just looking for an estimate of the difficulty/likelihood of a fix for starters.
