I did not have access to an intel machine until this morning. I find
the same behavior on my intel iMac running
OS 10.4.11-- Lilypond v. 45 _crashes_ on loading. I checked further and
v. 2.11.44-1 also crashes on loading.
v. 2.11.43-2 loads and runs correctly.
Full disclosure- I use Fink to manage Linux/Unix software, but the
project is designed to be unobtrusive. I tried
(on the PPC machine) running 2.11.45 on a new test account (with no
path to fink files in /sw) and Lilypond
showed the same behavior.
