Unfortunately, I don't speak Dutch, so I answer in English (I can guess
what you ask about). LilyPond is probably fairly different from most
other programs you have experienced in Windows so far. It is certainly
one of the programs where you cannot expect to do anything useful at
all unless you have read the documentation, at least the Tutorial.
So, go to www.lilypond.org, click on Documentation for your version
of LilyPond (wait a second, I really recommend the Tutorial for version
2.11, which is completely rewritten but still relevant for version 2.10)
and
start reading and playing with it. Actually, the instructions you quoted
below
is a good starting point.
Happy LilyPonding

Welcome to LilyPond

Congratulations, LilyPond has been installed successfully.
Now to take it for the first test run.
1. Save this LilyPond file on your desktop.
2. Pick it up from the desktop with your mouse pointer, drag and drop
it onto the LilyPond icon.
3. LilyPond automatically produces a PDF file from the musical scale
below.
4. To print or view the result, click on the newly produced file called
Welcome_to_LilyPond.PDF
That's it. For more information, visit http://lilypond.org .
