If I insert this snippet: a'1_\mp~ | \mark \default a8 fis e cis b a into the template at <http://tinyurl.com/yfz4aw> Then the tie and the rehearsal mark overlap. I'm running Lilypond 2.8.7 on Mac OS X 10.4.7 PPC. I expect to be able to work around the problem.
