I have to say that from a Windows user's point of view, this is a very
serious bug that really should be in a stable version as soon as possible.
The effect on a Windows user is to break many Windows and 3rd-party
operations, with no clear clue as to what has broken. I'm fairly fluent in
the PC/Windows world, and it still took me a couple of hours to track down
what had happened. For an average user, this could be very difficult to
diagnose, and they may wind up thinking they have contracted a virus and
reformatting their drive.
