The following is a bug I noticed several versions ago (whatever 2.7 version I moved to from 2.6), but neglected to bring it up because I was in my lull phase of lilypond activity, measured as a sinusoidal curve. This message is to identify whether other people have the problem; when I return to my computer in a few hours, I will do my best to send a follup message with code that reproduces the oddity.
I have a system with many, many instruments. I use \RemoveEmptyStaffContext. Page 1 is OK, because all staves in the system are forced to appear. With all pages after that: in instances where both staves in a GrandStaff have no content other than R(m)*(n), the GrandStaff either becomes invisible but leaves a massive gap or remains visible but has nothing on it. Again, code will follow.
