Jan, I have tried an install of the 2.7.11 autopackage under SuSE 9.0. Now the problem is Guile, which it says is not found. I checked the system, and SuSE 9.0 has Guile 1.6.4-42. I guess lilypond 2.7.x or 2.6.x needs Guile 1.6.5 or later?
I checked around and find that SuSE stuck with Guile 1.6.4 through to version 9.2. The versions are as follows: SuSE 9.0: 1.6.4-42 SuSE 9.1: 1.6.4-124 SuSE 9.2: 1.6.4-127 SuSE 9.3: 1.6.7-3 So you can see why SuSE 9.3 would be fine but the others would all need a Guile upgrade as well.
