Perhaps you should just try to run another Python program. Python auto- matically creates compiled versions of the scripts (*.py -> *.pyc), per- haps a pyc-version of a basic component is needed. Another idea: IIRC there is some flaw in this SuSE's "Python-GTK" package, programs like Gnofract4d don't work. Did you compile with GNOME support? > Any suggestions? Should it work under SuSE 9.0? At least Lilypond 2.6.1 works under my SuSE 9.0, assuming that one has updated some packages (see INSTALL.txt).
