Hello! Yes, the public mailing list is the right place to ask. > That said, I would like to know if there is any volunteer for a > mentorship of the aarch64 port of GNU Mach. > > I would like to pick up the work where Sergey Bugaev left if there is > any interest around it. There's certainly some interest from my side in advancing AArch64 support (but I haven't been doing anything about it). I can probably answer some (in-depth?) questions about AArch64, and some about Mach, but I can't be thought of as either AArch64 or a Mach expert, certainly not anymore. How familiar are you with AArch64 and with Mach architecture? And with writing device drivers in general? You can find my old work on AArch64 in Mach over at [0] and the glibc-side work at [1]; the Hurd-side work I believe has been committed upstream. Somewhat more recently, there has been an LLM-assisted rebase of that work onto an up-to-date gnumach tree by Paulo Duarte [2]. Some parts of that work were, unfortunately, LLM slop (see my replies in that thread), but it also caught a few real issues. Paulo was going to post an updated version, but I don't think he ever did.
