Unfortunately, no. I have seen that happening many times: as soon as a workaround is known and documented, the incentive to actually fix the bugs is reduced a lot, and then bugs linger, and newcomers are surprised that there are so many workarounds that have to be applied, instead of things to just work out-of-the box.
