As documented in the Debian installation manual, the actual error is shown on TTY 4. It is about the mirror key having expired. You can actually ignore that and just not use a mirror to install, you'll still be able to install the base system. > I think my problem with the preinstalled images was with apt, That's the same issue, which can be fixed by just ignoring the signature.
