Thanks Smauel. Please forgive my ignorance... This seems to be a reoccurring problem. Once is happenstance, twice is a problem. If emacs-nox depends upon emacs-common, then why is emacs-nox released to manufacturing with emacs-common missing? Where does the problem lie? Is the package manager broken? Why does Sid package repository accept incomplete packages? Jeff
