Hello :) Quoting Thomas Schwinge (2015-02-13 10:18:26) > Justus has contributed a great chunk of good work to the Hurd project, > ever since starting to contribute regularely, a bit less than two years > ago. :-) Many thanks!
And it has been a pleasure :) > (By the way, if my records are correct, his very first contribution, > in 2010-05, has been to file <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?29809>, > which still remains to be resolved.) ;-) Indeed. I was building my first live cd back then. It used quite a lot of firmlinks to overcome the limitations of a read-only root filesystem iirc. I'm very excited to have come full circle by now with my new live cd effort, and that the new one is much cleaner. > It's not a very big thing, but in trying to acknowledge his hard work, > Justus is now granted "blanket" commit rights Yeah 8D > (but please continue to post patches of changes pushed to the source > repositories, with a [committed] tag in the subject, or similar). I thought we have commit-hurd@ for that? Otoh looking at its archive, this is a rather noisy list. Not sure anyone would want to read that. > Justus, go hog wild! ;-) I will :) (once I got more spare time again...) > (Obviously, it's still a good idea to first discuss any controversial > patches.) Noted. Cheers, Justus
