That's not much RAM, we still haven't fixed some spurious allocations for the initrd, I'm afraid 392M may not be enough for the default d-i process. You can check how much is left during installation by switching to the second console and running vmstat-hurd there. You can try to run d-i in lowmem mode, by editing the grub entry to add lowmem=1 to the options. I've just tried it it qemu, it seems to be working with 392M RAM. I'll tune the lowmem automatic trigger. Samuel
