Interesting, I think I got confused by the fact that all the diskfs- based filesystems in hurd currently with diskfs_shortcut_symlink set do support symlinks, and those where that variable is not set (only fatfs, IIRC) do not support symlinks. I've reverted the commit, and going to propose a better (I hope) solution for this. Thanks, -- Pino Toscano
