Hi,

I got a strange effect: the system froze completely (both main Hurd and
subhurd), but without a kernel panic. Judging by the fan speed, it was
idling rather than busy-looping.

Later I realized that the root partition of the subhurd was full --
there were still reserved blocks, but no normal ones. I wonder whether
it was related? And if so, how is it possible that a full disk in a
subhurd kills the whole system, including the main Hurd?...

The kernel debugger was working BTW. Is there anything useful one could
do with it in such a situation?
