Summary: gnumach should be able to handle local time in RTC Project: The GNU Hurd Submitted by: sthibaul Submitted on: dim 26.03.2006 à 23:05 Category: GNU Mach Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Compatibility Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Reproducibility: Every Time Size (loc): None Effort: 0.00 _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi, Currently, glibc's gettimeofday() just returns the result of GNU mach's host_get_time(), which comes direectly from RTC. That means that RTC is supposed to be set at GMT, but because of some systems, one may have to set it rather to the local time. As a result, there should be a possibility of some compensation that would get set very early in the boot process.
