Well, as I wrote on debian-hurd, I've made a patch to fix Mach BPF support, and Richard and Guillaume Libersat are working on a BPF translator (that implements /dev/bpf). Guillaume is also working on net_io and on the glue code so that we can catch outgoing packets as well with BPF & so on. The translator mostly works, and so does Mach BPF (you can catch packets with tcpdump(1) and so on).
