Yes, that's a limitation of the ext2fs translator that is currently
included in the Debian GNU/Hurd distribution: it can only cope with block
sizes of 4096 bytes.
The translator that is in the CVS repository does not have that
limitation but another one: it can only handle file systems that are
smaller than 2 GiB.


One idea we recently began to discuss on IRC was, that Debian could ship
both a "Ogi patched" ext2fs and a non-patched one.
