*sigh*, if someone would pick on nuances it would've been you, I should've known... Roland just wanted to know if it is sane to use GRUB 2, so if it can replace GRUB Legacy. It does not have all the features of GRUB Legacy yet and it has some bugs and it needs more testing. So the answer was no. Although on the PPC, for example GRUB 2 works *almost* good enough to replace bootloaders like yaboot, etc. I think you just asked me another question. GRUB 2 does work, in some situations it is even usable (for example PPC like I said), but not in the context we were talking about. > We planned scripting support for GRUB 2.
