Hi,

I checked in a slightly different version of the shift part of the
patch (as Marco said, doing it in one if cluase is right).

I disagree with Marco and agree with Alfred that left and right alt
are very different keys. This is also true for the linux console.

There are no other cases where left or rigth shift or ctrl make a
difference, so the fix should be complete.

For the caps lock and ctrl key, I disagree vehemently. I am sorry,
but this is a PC keyboard, and you are stuck with it.

The solution is of course to make it configurable. I don't oppose to
a patch that adds an option to the module that allows you to switch
caps lock and control.

But what I really want to see is Marco's changes to use X config
files. i18n and l10n are the real reason for this, but it will also
allow you to change the keymap in arbitrary ways.

Thanks,
Marcus
