Hi,

I've started working on the PowerPC port again, and there's definitely
been some progress. The Hurd boots to the multiuser login shell, and
most servers seem to work (not storeio and pfinet, currently). ext2
file systems are now also writable. There are of course many bugs and
deficiencies left, but so far it looks promising. I've cross-compiled
bash, coreutils, and grep. What would be a good idea to do next? I
was thinking of cross-compiling binutils and gcc, which would be
useful for compiling more programs as well as testing/bug-hunting.

I'll put new patches on http://huizen.dds.nl/~pjbruin/hurd/ today or
tomorrow. Of course, if someone is interested to do some work or
testing on this port, they're more than welcome.

Peter
