Derek, Please update http://hurd.gnufans.org/bin/view/Hurd/RandomDevice if you feel comfortable with a wiki interface. I'm biased, but it's a great place to keep folks updated on progress and to collect relevant references. I know there's been some lengthy discussion of this issue recently but I haven't been able to follow up and read all the relevant items on the mail lists.
