Or make the library no-inst and install it under the required name in an
extra rule.

Because we have our own rules that make it convenient to build servers,
programs etc.  Personally I had no problem switching, don't know about
Roland though :)  Note that there are some sophisticated rules to make it
easy to build required mig stubs etc.
