I was disappointed to see that gzip 1.6 apparently still doesn't include a merge of the --rsyncable support the Debian package has included since 13 Feb 2003.
Has someone determined that this definitely will *not* be merged, or is a decade just not long enough yet for it to pop to the top of the pending queue? ;-) Bdale
