would it be possible to see .tar.bz2 releases of gzip ? not for the
"gzip vs bzip2" debate, but for the case where gzip is broken on a
system :)That's why there is a plain .tar available (e.g., ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gzip/gzip-1.3.12.tar). The few extra bytes of download don't seem too important for such a rare occasion ... Best, Karl
