This patch and https://issues.guix.gnu.org/68038 also fix my Frescobaldi installation, tested with "timidity -iA" and Lilypond's pdf output.
There may be problems due to upstream changing versioning style, the old python-pyportmidi and portmidi itself have a greater version than the current one. Happy new year everyone. Marco
