Hi, I'm trying to reproduce this, but no luck, I'm able to fetch news (cnet also).
Is it possible that you are testing this in a foreigen environment? (Is so, you might need to `SSL_CERT_DIR=/etc/ssl/certs calibre` ...) -- The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning, and does not stop until you get to work.
