This (long) command works for me:
guix time-machine --commit=6eded1a04186e3118b293486b038c994e05efedf -- \
environment -E ^TERM -CP --ad-hoc emacs emacs-guix guile guix -- \
emacs
Could it be that something else is interfering, in your ~/.emacs, Guile
load path or something?
