bug#27489: glibc fails to build on i686

I believe this problem is fixed by commit
ffc015bea26f24d862e7e877d907fbe1ab9a9967.  I was able to build a grafted
'hello' for i686-linux, and it worked correctly.

Can you try it and report back?
