Follow-up Comment #1, bug #68574 (group groff): Ah, but we should _not_ detect a need for _preconv_ if a non-ASCII code point appears in a _roff_ comment.
(Maintaining enough state to ignore them in `ig`nored regions might not be
worth the effort.)
