The below compares 1.24.0 and git head output. Both
[http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/log/tmac/hyphen.en tmac/hyphen.en]
and [http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/log/tmac/hyphenex.en
tmac/hyphenex.en] are unchanged since 2021, so this seems to be a regression
in the algorithm.
