Update of bug #68497 (group groff):
Status: Confirmed => Duplicate
Assigned to: None => gbranden
Open/Closed: Open => Closed
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #8:
I can reproduce this on GNU/Linux. I just needed to add the `-C` command-line
option to enable AT&T compatibility mode. The "compatibility wrappers" do an
equivalent thing.
$ uname -o
GNU/Linux
$ ~/groff-1.24.1/bin/groff -C HISTORY/MAN/openindiana-doctools-0.5.11/an
troff: ../src/roff/troff/input.cpp:2887: bool
token::is_usable_as_delimiter(bool, delimiter_context): Assertion `context !=
DELIMITER_GROFF_EXPRESSION' failed.
/home/branden/groff-1.24.1/bin/groff: error: troff: Aborted (core dumped)
And I have good news. This bug has already been discovered, resolved, and the
fix is expected to ship in _groff_ 1.25. Planned for this month, knock
plastic.
$ ./build/test-groff -C HISTORY/MAN/openindiana-doctools-0.5.11/an
troff:HISTORY/MAN/openindiana-doctools-0.5.11/an:585: warning: ignoring third
argument to font emboldening request when first interpreted as mounting
position and second as emboldening amount [-w font]
Regarding that warning, see bug #68256.
The problem, both for the assertion failure and the foregoing warning, is this
line in the "an" file:
$ grep bd HISTORY/MAN/openindiana-doctools-0.5.11/an
.bd S 3 3
Hey, Deri! Check that out! ;-)
Closing as duplicate of bug #68252.
