Summary: [PATCH] Increase Unicode coverage by lessening impact of bug #63332 Group: GNU roff Submitter: barx Submitted: Thu 13 Mar 2025 01:59:57 AM CDT Category: Macro package - others/general Severity: 1 - Wish Item Group: Rendering/Cosmetics Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu 13 Mar 2025 01:59:57 AM CDT By: Dave <barx> The attached patch was originally buried in the middle (specifically, comment #16) of bug #63332. The core issue of that ticket has yet to be root-caused, so this patch did not address it, hence my moving it out of that ticket's purview. But this patch does allow recognition of more Unicode characters in output formats where #63332 _isn't_ an issue, so I think it's worth applying as a temporary measure--or, rather, as a refinement to the temporary measure that's already in place. tmac/fallbacks.tmac has had numerous commits since this patch was first posted in Aug 2023, but it still applies cleanly to the current code. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Name: fallbacks.patch Size: 1KiB <https://file.savannah.gnu.org/file/fallbacks.patch?file_id=57007> AGPL NOTICE These attachments are served by Savane.
