Summary: Weird tab behavior when filling even with enabled linetabs mode Group: GNU roff Submitter: None Submitted: Sun 16 Feb 2025 09:20:28 PM UTC Category: Core Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Incorrect behaviour Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun 16 Feb 2025 09:20:28 PM UTC By: Anonymous The behavior of tab stops in filled multi-line segments does not match the one exhibited in unfilled (single) lines. See the attached demo and its PDF rendering. I have set the tab stop to align left to make the error obvious; in real world examples, it would be aligned left instead, which exhibits the same error, but less obviously. Command line: groff -b -ww -P-pa5 -Tpdf tabtest.tr > tabtest.pdf Applies to groff version 1.23.0. ~ onf (cc me, please) _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Name: tabtest.tr Size: 2KiB <https://file.savannah.gnu.org/file/tabtest.tr?file_id=56906> ------------------------------------------------------- Name: tabtest.pdf Size: 7KiB <https://file.savannah.gnu.org/file/tabtest.pdf?file_id=56907> AGPL NOTICE These attachments are served by Savane.
