Follow-up Comment #3, bug #61998 (group groff):

Refactored the patch to reflect the following:

99d06510b] changed the affected filename.
* Per discussion in http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2024-11/msg00178.html, the
internal line-breaking methodology in this file is changing.

I changed none of the patch's content since the 2023 draft.

I would be interested in any feedback on this patch, in particular whether
there's any obstacle to applying it before 1.24, as it's a documentation-only
change.  Branden endorsed the idea of it in comment #1, but I don't know if
anyone has looked at the actual patch.
