Follow-up Comment #30, bug #66583 (group groff): Upon Alex's & Branden's suggestions, I have added several new make targets which allow for more precise selection of what is to be built. I strongly felt this should be documented somewhere, so I have also added target `help` which documents all of these and some others. The patches are attached.
This seems a superior way of implementing this compared to the two patches I have submitted before. It should be considered whether it is okay for `make all` to fail if makeinfo isn't present; if it is, we could remove makeinfo detection in m4/groff.m4 and instruct users to exclude the Texinfo manual's target when running make instead: make bin data man-all doc-extra examples If you think some other partitioning of groff would be more logical, I welcome your suggestions.
