A proposal for a macro set to support German national standard DIN 5008 was
put forth on the email list a few months ago
(http://lists.gnu.org/r/groff/2024-01/msg00022.html). In this thread, Alexis
(copied on this ticket) indicated having a working prototype of a set of
macros.
It's unclear how many (if any) of the informal requirements for contrib
inclusion that Brendan posted later in the thread have been met, so there are
still any number of reasons this may not become part of groff. But since
discussion indicated groff inclusion was a possibility, this ticket exists to
keep that on the radar.
