Subject: "warning" with or without a colon in a diagnostic message?

  The gcc compiler uses a colon, so does "clang" in their "message" part
of an diagnostics.

  The "GNU coding standards" (https://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/)
does not show an example for the message part.

  It is better to be able to seek only one version of "warning?" and
"error?" than two.
