DESCRIPTION OF INCORRECT BEHAVIOUR:
As per the .ds line in bug.ms, style 1 references (journal-article)
should be printed with the %V field set in the BI font. Yet they are not.
SUGGESTED FIX:
Add the "d" conditional operator in the ref*add- macro definitions
in refer.tmac.
