Follow-up Comment #2, bug #63583 (project groff): [comment #0 original submission:] > enabling us to get rid of GROFF_NO_SGR
We probably won't be able to do this for a while, because its use is such a widespread trick for forcing overstruck output. The variable name will become a bit of a misnomer, because with terminfo, we will stop knowing or caring if ISO 6429's "SGR" sequences are how one gets things done. The sloppiness of the variable name will need to be documented (it doesn't apply to _groff_ in general, and it will stop being necessarily coupled to SGR escape sequences). > (and Debian to get rid of its GROFF_SGR, maybe). Debian's already done this in its _groff_ 1.23.0 packages. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?63583> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
